The US senate began what they call "debate" on the bill proposing universal healthcare provided by taxpayer funds... at least that is how it will end up.



No discussion of healthcare can be taken seriously, without a detailed discussion of its Constitutionality. If that is undertaken, then it will indeed be a very short conversation. Why? Because the bill is unconstitutional.

Ask yourself- "What is the fundamental purpose of the US Constitution?"

The response has to be, that it limits central authority, in favor of the rights of the states. The Constitution provides for things that affect the collection of the states, as a whole. For example, the defense of the nation... and the making of treaties with foreign governments; everything is left to the states.

Liberals abuse the Document when they claim that the "general welfare" clause permits them to pass bill after bill that violate its intended purpose. The intention of "general welfare", is the protection of the general rights of the individual and of the states. The Founding Fathers never intended it to include social security, medicare, medicaid, bank takeovers, auto industry takeovers, or the medical industry takeover currently being "debated".

If the discussion ever got past the Constitutionality issue, then the next serious discussion would need to be the subject of Tort Reform... followed by the deregulation of the health insurance industry to the extent that companies in all the states compete for the business from individuals and employers.

The Brits now have a film in which it is implied that Jesus Christ visited their land, in his youth.

They cite no specific, clear-cut evidence for their claim. They just believe it is plausible since no one can specifically account for Jesus' whereabouts from age 12 to about age 30.

High among their circumstantial "evidence", is the fact that their land was a center for learning, during the time Jesus was growing up. However, they fail to realize that the only learning of interest to Jesus, was establsihing has credibility with the Old Law, by working and studying with the teachers of that Law. Such teachers would have been quite a rarity in the Britain of that time.

It is said that Augustine claimed that Jesus built a church in Britain. But that is an impossibility, since the Church did not exist- and had no meaning before Jesus died on the cross. It was Jesus' sacrifice on the cross that led to the formation of the Church.

There is indeed, little information presented in the Bible, about where Jesus was, between age 12 and age 30. With the exception of a few sporadic verses in the New Testament (which do not imply a trip to Britain) we have only Luke Chapter 2 to tell us about Jesus' travels as a youth- and that involved the teaching and learning of the Old Law from the rabbis in the mideastern cities.

If the Brits have any other evidence, they should bring it forth. Otherwise, they should shut up about their conjectures on Jesus' travels, and get about their stupid, albeit progressive islamization of their nation.

The terrorist is known as ahmed hashim abed; he claims that the SEALs gave him a bloody lip during capture.

This is nothing new... muslim terrorists are trained to complain about being mistreated when they are captured. It gives them "world sympathy." That's how they got Gitmo on the endangered prisons list.

The real travesty here, is that the US government (i.e., obama and his henchman AG, eric holder) gives credibility to the claims of the captured terrorist. Even if it is true, obama/holder cannot expect the SEALs to just walk up to terrorists, begging them to come along to a US legal system trial. They're not coming easily. A lip might bet busted.

I ask you... when was the last time you went to a NHL hockey game, without seeing at least one player get a bloody lip or nose, in the process of carrying out a maneuver on the ice?

Perhaps therein lies a solution for the US Government. Permit our SEALs to take captured terrorists, outfit them with hockey skates, and teach them the finer points of the game of ice hockey.

Who could possibly complain about such an exciting enterprise!

holder & obama will try KSM in the civilian legal system, in federal court in NYC.

No good can come from this trial. If the Constitution is followed, then KSM and his cohorts will have to be found not guilty, and set free. This amounts to a show-trial in front of a kangaroo court...



Why? Just because the tenets of law will have to be followed in the trial. KSM et.al was not read his rights after being apprehended. Furthermore, obama and holder are on record as having said that waterboarding (which is how we got a boatload of information about subsequent planned attacks on our soil) is torture... and holder even admits that KSM was waterboarded more than 180 times.

Of course if they don't follow the Constitution, then the world (which obama is so intent on impressing) will see that our Constitution has no teeth.

Ultimately, this trial is really about condemning GWB & Dick Cheney and placing them in a position where they would have to face a trial of their own, for "war crimes". obama hopes to score a lot of points with the world on that count.

A nun, Tobiana Sobodka, who worked in the living quarters of the catholic pope john paul II, says that he would put himself through "bodily penance" (i.e., self-flagellation).

The nun said, "We would hear it- we were in the next room at Castel Candolfo. You could hear the sound of the blows when he flagellate himself. He did it when he was still capable of moving on his own."

According to WorldNetDaily, another person, a bishop, said, "He would punish himself and in particular just before he ordained bishops and priests."

WorldNetDaily goes on to point out that, "Self flagellation is sometimes used by devoted Catholics as it reminds them of the whipping endured by Christ at the hands of the Romans before He was crucified."

It is connected to the idea that punishment (penance) must be required in the forgiveness of sins.

Such is the reason that I could never be a catholic;  I have trouble understanding why people who read their Bibles remain as catholics. What do I mean by that?

Well in the first place, The whole of Paul's letter to the Hebrews (in the New Testament) has to do with the fact that punishment for sins was the burden that Jesus Christ faced and accepted for all of us for all time. That means we don't have to retain this idea of being punished- because it is inadequate in comparison to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Here is just one simply-put statement from the Hebrew letter...

Heb. 10:9-10... " Then He [Jesus] said, 'Here I am I have come to do your will.' He sets aside the first to establish the second. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all."

Catholics tie this practice to their idea that their priests can forgive the sins that you confess to them. As an authority for that practice, they are fond of quoting John 20: 22-23 where it says,

"And with that He [Jesus] breathed on them [the Apostles] and said, 'Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven." (my emphasis)

What generation-after-generation of catholics refuse to accept, is the simple fact that Jesus was talking to only the Apostles when He made that statement. That was part of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit... given by God to the Apostles for the sole purpose of confirming the word- until the Bible was completed. Many places in the New Testament assert this fact: Phil. 1:7, and I Cor 1:6, and Heb. 2:3-4 are just a couple. Here's how Mark put it in Mk 16:20...

"Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it."

This power to forgive was given only to the Apostles, and ceased with the death of the last Apostle. It is highly significant that the Apostles could not even lay hands on their assistants so that the latter could pass along this miraculous gift through the ages, to the present time. How do I know this? Simple. We no longer are expected to believe the Word based on confirmations of its power... instead we are required to accept it on totally blind faith... see Heb 11:1 and Eph 2: 8-9, for starters.

The most convincing evidence however, that priests (ministers, and others) do not have the power of forgiveness granted to the Apostles, is given in Acts Ch. 8. Read that whole chapter carefully. The Apostles had sent their assistant Philip (not the Apostle) to Samaria. There, Philip met with some success in convincing the people of the gospel of Jesus Christ. However, once they heard the Word, the assistant had to send for the Apostles ( Peter and John went) to confirm what they had heard.

With the death of the Apostles, came the ceasing of the miraculous gifts whose purpose was to confirm the Word.. until faith brought us into the real Church.

It is interesting to hear all the comments of astonishment, concerning the machinations of obama and his socialist cohorts, as they move the nation (perhaps indelibly) into socialism/communism.

Such surprise surely isn't coming from the Right... i.e., from that 30% of the electorate who really believed candidate obama when he said he wanted to change the USA at its most fundamental level.

The astonishment- turned dismay, is primarily coming from within ranks of the Independents- that 40% of the electorate who, like a cork on water, just follow the flow. They thought obama might tinker with the edges of what GWB left behind. But that wasn't to be so.

So now the nation has chosen a democrat House, a democrat Senate, and a democrat executive. Those of you who installed obama cannot be amazed when they turn the government strongly left and lead us in the direction of the econo-political precipice.

The nation made its bed, and will now have to lie in it for 4 years, at least.

Yes, there's a new House election next November. However those elections tend to be local- and incumbents are periennial winners... because within each district, the people think their own local representative is OK... the problem as they see it, is with the other 438 scoundrels.

Obama has instructed eric holder to try the 911 terrorists in NYC within the framework of the US legal system- instead of trial by Military Tribunal.

Why?

Obama & holder must be aware that the defense of terrorists like KSM will include the frequent and public statements from obama that KSM was "tortured" more than 180 times. That alone will force a judge to abrogate KSM's confessions to the terrorist acts.

The fact is, that obama has much to gain by losing the trial, and letting KSM and his cohorts walk free.

Obama can blame GWB for the 'loss.'  Obama can point out to the world, that GWB's "torture" tactics were too much to overcome in a court of law, and that GWB should be brought up on war-crimes charges. Winning such a case against GWB and his defenders on the Right, will, in the eyes of obama, lead to the rapid political demise of the Republican and Conservative Parties.

In fact, KSM and his 911 buddies should be tried in the Military Tribunals, at Gitmo. There's nothing wrong with Gitmo. It has been demonized by US libero-socialists so excessively, that the world began to believe the crap spewing forth from the mouths of liberals. Many terrorists have asked to stay at Gitmo, since they have been made aware of how much more difficult life would be in a maximum security federal prison.

Only about a third of the nation wants the civilian legal system to try these characters. People on the Right, and virtually all the Independents are in favor of the war-trial approach before a US Military Tribunal.

This is one of the most significant reasons that obama's favoribility ratings have taken a recent nosedive. The Rasmussen Report puts obama's favoribility index at -13 ... yes thats a negative 13...

Obama took a lot of (justified) heat when he bowed in greeting the king of Saudi Arabia.

Why does he insist in showing subservience to these leaders, while representing the USA- which as a whole, feels no such subsevience?

Many think this is simply a characteristic of obama, that we'll just have to get used to.

But I don't agree. I think the bow to the muslim leader was purposeful and well-intended by obama. I think that he needed a cover, so to speak, to diminish his high regard for anything islamic. To accomplish that, in the worlds eyes, he diluted the significance of the bow to the islamist, by bowing to another world leader.

Eventually all the pro-islam crap he was taught for 20 years at his Chicago "church" will come to the fore, and boil over. People will realiza that obamaniacal statements about the "57 states" of the USA are not misstatements, but reflect his true world focus (in that case, referring to the OIC instead of the USA).

This special election was supposed to be over.

The Conservative (Hoffman) conceded with 46.4% of the vote, and the democrat was handed the House seat, with 48.7% of the vote. Scozzafava garnered 4.9% of the vote- even though she withdrew, her name remained on the ballot.



But not so fast... They didn't count 10,000 absentee ballots. Those should strongly favor the Conservative, Hoffman, since a large portion of those ballots are from the military... the organization that obama loves to hate.

Even so, the Conservative Hoffman should not expect a turnaround in this election. In all likelihood, the democrats will Franckenize this election to ensure the liberal victory.

You can expect the libero-socialists to bring in "acorn" to do the vote counting, and the task of guarding  the ballots will most likely be given to the Black Panthers. They can wield weapons as in the previous election.

When it comes to making decisions, obama is a complete failure (well maybe there's one exception).

Whether in the Illinois senate or the US senate, obama prefers to vote "present" instead of "aye" or "nay" on virtually any controversial bill. Why? Simply because he does not want that vote to come back and bite him in his political a$$ when he's trying for higher office. By voting "present" he just does not take a stand on that issue.

We see that old habits die hard. Now obama is using that same tactic when it comes to Afghanistan.

He sent his hand-picked general out to Afghanistan in hopes that the report would be, to get the heck out of there ASAP. However, his General McChrystal has said that he needs 40,000 more troops.

Now obama is voting 'present' again. He knows that if he approves the troops, then his leftwing socio-democrat party will have caniptions... and if he does not approve the additional troops, then he faces criticism from Independents and Republicans- that he is not supporting our people charged with the task of fighting on our behalf.

It's been reported today that he has been given four options... alll of which he hates. That's code word for voting 'present.'

Looks like obama will have to grow up sooner rather than later... using delay instead of taking a firm stand, will not wash with the American people. Voting "present" was surely not one of the options.

Oh... that one exception was when obama voted in Illinois, in favor of killing any baby successfully born during the process of an attempted abortion, even though the child is out of the womb at the time.

It's amazing how many people erroneously think obama's got their back.

In the mid-90's when liberals tried to force hillarycare down our throats, the AARP supported that clinton attempt at nationalization of the health industry.

What is most astonishing about that misplaced support, was the fact that the Senior Citizens of the nation went along with the AARP recommendations.

Related to that effort was a tax increase on Social Security payments to Seniors, for any amount of income greater than only $25000... that's right, only $25000. Not only did that tax increase survive both clinton administrations, but GWB was unable to repeal that tax on such a relatively paltry amount.

But the Senior Citizens did not rebel against their lobbying organization (AARP).

Now, the AARP is foursquare in support of obamacare -  the latest attempt of government takeover of the health industry. Once again, there is little outcry from Senior Citizens. That's despite the fact that Seniors have so much to lose. Start with their lives. The "Death Panels" really are in the House Bill, and probably will survive the Senate bill. Those panels will adjudge when the cost of care for a senior is no longer worth the effort to keep him/her alive- despite whatever kinds of contributions they have or will contribute to society. 

Also, don't forget the illegal aliens. Liberals love to shout out that there is no healthcare in the bills for illegal aliens... and they're right. But what these socialists will not tell you, is that the day after obama signs a nationalized healthcare bill, there will be a new bill granting full citizenship to illegal aliens. obama has already promised as much. With such newly declared citizenship, the illegal aliens will automatically obtain the same healthcare as every other citizen- second rate, with out of control government regulations on coverage, unacceptable delays and ov course, the death panels.

Just why the Senoir Citizens have not rebeled from the AARP, is anyone's guess.  

This is the case where a muslim army psychiatrist went berserk and killed 13 people and wounded dozens.

The democrat-socialists are crying out that this event is an example of why we need more gun control.

However, if there had been a couple of people with licensed concealed weapons, then fewer people would have had to die while waiting for the police to arrive. Also, there has been no indication of just how this guy got his hands on two guns, and no indication of how he got them onto the army base.

If we need any kind of control here, it would be the need for muslim control. This was a pre-planned terrorist attack on a military base on American soil. Obama will nver admit it, because it destroys his hope of getting through his administration(s) without any such terrorist attack.

But when someone goes from one person to another, shooting and hollaring 'allah snackbar' and who is on record as trying to convert his patients to islam, and who worshipped under the same imam as did a couple of the 911 murderers, and who refused to be photographed with women, and... etc... then you've got a bona fide terrorist engaged in his dirty business.

These acts will likely continue, and probably get worse, since Americans are asleep- unaware that all these incidents are not isolated crimes by 'radical' muslims... it is a religious war that they are perpetrating against us.

We'll eventually wake up and do something about this war, but it looks like it will take a truly despicable attack of a massively destructive nature, by them.

Jessica Watson (the aussie girl attempting to be the youngest to circumnavigate the globe) is currently heading northeast, to complete the requirement of having crossed the equator.

Eventually, she'll have to head south, and presumably negotiate the waters of Cape Horn at the southern tip of South America- where Pacific, the Atlantic, and the Antarctic all come together.



Not being clear if her boat can stand up to the 65 foot waves and turbulence of the Cape Horn waters, many wonder if she might be planning to slip through the Straits of Magellan instead. That will assuredly keep her out of harm from the angry oceans.



But the Straits will be no picnic either. The problem there, will be the high potential for piracy- and an abrupt termination of the venture.

It willl be interesting to see what she (and her helpers in Australia) will have planned for her path of transition from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean.

The psychiatrist who went berserk and killed/wounded so many, was a muslim. It is said he even went so far as to yell out allah akbar (sp) which supposedly means, "God is great" as he progressed through his mayhem.

This is the third time, now, that muslims have been involved in executing and/or planning attacks on US military facilities, on American soil.

Most tragic of all, is the fact that the tv/radio/print 'journalists' are asking the wrong questions about this latest incident. They all want to know what pressures he was under... how he felt about life... etc.

What they fail to realize is that islamists the world over, are in a religious war against the USA, but the USA is not at war with the muslims. That is, each time the muslims attack, we only seem to attribute it to a lone radical muslim (even though that New Jersey thing involved a whole cell).

As long as the USA thinks that there are muslims and there are, separately, a few radical muslims, we are going to continue to have these incidents, but probably at a more escalated pace. We cannot seem to grasp that there is no such thing as radical islam... there is just islam. But then how can we as a nation ever know this... since we don't read our own Bibles, we most assuredly will not take time to read the koran- to see just how vicious it is when it reacts to infidels (non-muslims).

The nation is in so much denial, that we cannot even force ourselves to investigate what B. Hussein Obama is hiding in his birth certificate and other records.

Oh... well... 

The St. Louis Post-dispatch carries an article titled, "Generations of Pentacostals Divided on Doctrine of Speaking in Tongues." It seems that some of the younger pastors are minimizing the emphasis on glossolalia, while some of the older pastors want to maintain the status quo.

The article includes this quote (among a few other 'gems')...

" 'The distinguishing feature of classical Pentacostalism is to say that unless you have spoken in tongues, you don't have this baptism in spirit,' said Russell Spittler, emeritus professor of New Testament at Fuller Theological Seminary in California. "

The problem with pentacostalism isn't the conflict between the younger vs the older pastors. There's a much bigger problem. Namely, that, according to pentacostals, glossolalia is a manifestation of Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

But the Ephesians letter in the NT (being chronologically one of the last written), definitively states that there is only one baptism in effect... and that one baptism is water baptism- since that was how the members of the one body (the Church) are added to it. See Eph 4:3-6.

The purpose of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit (BHS) was to confirm the word. That is, to give it validity through the powers of observation and experience while the Church was in its infancy. Now however, we have the Bible and we are to come to God with blind faith (Eph 2: 8-9), and that is why BHS ceased to exist long ago ( I Cor. 13:8).

If such activity is encouraged at any level today, one should ask what the source of it is, since it definitely is not from God.

I haven't seen what the plans entail for getting through those waters. The winds are swirling, and the confluence of waters from the Pacific and the Atlantic and the Antarctic will lead to a really tough ride. Even very seasoned sailors get rubbery legs thinking about the waters of Cape Horn. The waves can be over 60 feet, much of the time. Watson's sailboat will be like the proverbial cork as it tries to survive those waters.

Hopefully, the people guiding her, and those who outfitted her boat, have factored the ravages of the Cape into the plans.

Sarah Palin was out front on exposing Scozzafava as being to the left of even many democrats.

Now that the liberal won that contest, the socialists are back to calling her names... like idiot, stupid, .. you know the drill.
 

What continues to be interesting though, is how such attacks are not followed up with any substance on just what might be making her stupid. Such verbal atttacks only reinforce the Conservative stand in regard to Palin's stature on the Right.

We have come to simply realize that for socialists, being 'stupid' just means that one doesn't agree with their position on an issue.

One might argue that Palin stumbled in the couric interview when asked about her reading material. Too bad she didn't blurt out, : "No clear thinking, normal people get their 'news' from the LA Times, the NY Times, Newsweek, or Time?"

So, where are all those 100 million injections promised by obama?

Now they say they'll have only 16 million available, 'soon.'

This same bunch wants to control the whole healthcare industry, and yet cannot schedule and obtain the medicine they claim is needed for their proclaimed H1N1 flu crisis.

The bulk of those 16 million shots they anticipate, are all coming from Europe... that's right, not the USA. Why is the USA not generating its own supply? The answer lies in the libero-socialists who spent years in demonizing the evil drug industry. Liberals did such a good job that the population began to believe them. Next thing you know, a lot of those drug companies (which would ordinarily manufacture such drugs as the H1N1 injections) picked up and left the country for friendlier environs of Europe.

So... if you want a non-existent H1N1 flu shot and you end up with the flu anyway, just ask yourself, "Why did I support liberals in all those past elections?" Your vote has consequences.

Recently, jeremiah wright said he was proud to be a socialist, because that enables him to ask the question, "Why are there homeless ?"

The implication is that a capitalist cannot ask that question, because the capitalist is too involved in greed... economic self gratification.

This is the kind of crap that obama heard for 20 years in wright's 'church' and which drives so much of obama's economic policies today.

Americans lead the world in altruism. Americans give, and then give some more.

American capitalists would give even more, were it not for the taxes seized from our paychecks in the name of government spending on useless and inefficient projects.

Whenever tax rates are lowered in the USA, there is a dramatic increase in giving to foundations and organizations which feed and house those incapable of caring for themselves.

The homeless can blame neo-socialists in the USA for the mis-education and for the encouraged dependency on liberals for government handouts.

The nation is watching this district race for the House seat. The LWP cannot understand that the Conservatives in the nation have had enough of the tap-dancing on the issues by RINO's.

The local Republican bosses hand-picked dede scossofava to run against a democrat (Owens) and a Conservative (Hoffmann). The problem with dede is that she isn't just a "moderate" Republican... she's a pure socialist who has decided to call herself a Republican. Speak of the devil, here she is now...



Proof of that characterization, is that when she pulled out of the race (because of pressure from national Conservatives- except for Newt Gingrich), she endorsed the democrat (Owens), over the Conservative (Hoffman).

Her endorsement will probably carry little-to-no weight in the election, but the fact that she gave it to the democrat, means she gives tacit approval to the fact that the democrat would vote in lock-step with the obama agenda... confused, exensive and disasterous as it is.

Newt Gingrich, having endorsed dede for the job, must have crawled under a rock by now in light of this turn of events. Newt threw his support to scozzafava because he recognized that she is a Republican in a very, very liberal state... and that as a "moderate", she had a better chance of winning than the Conservative (Hoffmann).

What Newt fails to realize, is that if she won, she would have voted like a democrat- much moreso than the ultra-liberal Republican twins from Maine.

Rather than have a Republican in the House who votes democrat all the time, Conservatives would rather lose on principle, and let the democrat be installed. At least you know for sure where he would stand on each and every issue, on each and every day.
